Welcome

The University of Melbourne is delighted to host the sixth Universitas 21 Undergraduate Research Conference at our Parkville campus. This year’s theme is Faculty of Imagining, inspired by the creative genius of Albert Einstein, who celebrated imagination as being ‘more important than knowledge’. Imagination facilitates meaning and understanding and is fundamental to the development of quality research across multiple disciplines.

We welcome outstanding undergraduate or Honours students from U21 institutions to showcase their research to an international audience of fellow students and staff. Applications from recent alumni with undergraduate research to present will also be accepted.

The 2010 Conference will provide an opportunity for accompanying staff members to engage with their U21 colleagues on topical undergraduate learning, teaching and research issues, as well as establish new professional networks.

This is the first time that the University of Melbourne has hosted this event and we look forward to welcoming you to our spectacular city!
